It does not come from a personal view of what the outcome should be, but the satisfaction that they applied law to fact, reached a just result, and made a difference in someone’s life.

Off the Bench

A Magistrate judge’s duties to the public do not stop when they step off the bench. They are called upon to serve in leadership roles on Idaho Supreme Court state-wide committees concerning topics such as domestic violence, family law, juvenile justice, child protection, pre-trial justice, guardianship, and legislative reform, and to serve as a liaison to county officials to insure an accessible and effective judicial system in their home community.
